this candle's been burning at both ends for as long as i can remember. i'd like to think it's not catching up to me. sometimes control seems so far removed, still struggling to find that balance. persistence in pursuit of stability. let go and let the fire rage on. let it consume what it will and rejoice in the trial. let these flames lick away the excess. let these ashes anoint a new life. determinatio
n to keep pushing ahead. we'll never know when that fire will be put out. so keep both ends blazing until there's nothing left to burn. till the air in these lungs is replaced with the smoke of a dying life. and with my final exhale i will know that i've made this a life worth living. with my final exhale i will know that i've made this my life.
